Our client is a car accessory company that wanted to add Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) to their product line. They were looking for a way to track the location of their products, as well as to detect if and when the products were being used. They also wanted to be able to update the firmware on their products wirelessly, without having to physically access the devices.

They approached Innovolo with the idea of adding Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) to their product line in order to track the location of their products and detect if and when the products were being used. The Challenge
The challenge for our team was to design and implement a solution that would meet the client’s needs. We had to take into account the existing hardware and software, as well as the limitations of BLE. In addition, we had to consider the battery life of the devices, as they would be used in cars that are often not near a power source.

Our team designed and implemented a solution that used Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) to track the location of the client’s products and to detect if and when the products were being used. We also implemented a way for the client to update the firmware on their products wirelessly, without having to physically access the devices. To do this, we created a custom command protocol and designed an Over-The-Air (OTA) firmware update system.
Our team’s solution helped the client to overcome the challenges they were facing. We were able to design and implement a system that met their needs and took into account the existing hardware and software, as well as the limitations of BLE. In addition, we were able to consider the battery life of the devices, as they would be used in cars that are often not near a power source. As a result of our work, the client now has a product that is more reliable and easier to use.
