Dr Kiran is a materials scientist with over 10 years of experience in the research and development of graphene-based composite materials. He has mentored both research and production teams to develop industrial applications, mainly in photo-detectors, water filtration cartridges, membranes, battery separators, high-temperature plastics, wearable sensors etc.
Kiran has first-hand experience in developing graphene-based industrial products such as ultra-filtration membranes, forward-osmosis membranes and absorption-based filter cartridges for water filtration and industrial wastewater treatment applications such as oil/water separation, textile dye removal and petrochemical effluent water treatment. He has also published scientific reports in peer-reviewed journals, presented papers at conferences and filed patents.
Kiran has also researched the development of graphene-based composite materials for ultra-high sensitive photodetectors for optoelectronics applications. He has developed pressure and strain sensitive wearable sensors using graphene-based coatings. In addition, he has worked on lightweight, high-temperature composite plastics for structural component applications.
