User Story

In product development, a user story is a short, simple description of a software feature told from the perspective of the person who will use the feature. User stories are written during the planning phase of a project and are used to create a customer-focused product backlog that will guide development. User stories typically follow a simple template: As a [type of user], I want [some goal] so that [some reason]. For example, "As a shopper, I want to be able to search for products by keyword so that I can easily find what I'm looking for." User stories can be further divided into smaller tasks called "epics" and "stories," which can be assigned to individual developers or teams. In addition, user stories can be prioritized based on customer needs and business value. When used correctly, user stories can help ensure that development efforts are focused on creating features that will have the biggest impact for users.
