Work Package

A work package is a deliverable or group of deliverables that are required in order to complete a phase of work in a product development project. In other words, it's a unit of work that has been assigned to a specific team or individual. Work packages are typically characterized by having a well-defined scope, timeline, and set of deliverables. They are often used in conjunction with project management tools like Gantt charts and project milestone templates.

When it comes to product development, work packages are typically associated with specific features or functionality that need to be delivered. For example, a work package for a mobile app might include the design, development, and testing of a new login system. Or, a work package for a website redesign might include updating the site's layout and adding new features such as social media integration. In each case, the work package would outline what needs to be done in order to successfully complete the deliverables.

While work packages are typically associated with product development projects, they can really be used for any type of project where there is a need to break down the work into manageable chunks. So, if you're looking for a way to better organize your next project, consider using work packages!
